Reingold Internship Program

This internship program is your opportunity to discover what it really means to work for a full-service communications agency. You’ll learn the ins and outs of your department, work as a valued member of project teams, and collaborate with experts in various departments. Reingold offers you opportunities to tailor the internship experience to your interests and strengths — all while working on causes that really matter.   

Internships are full-time and in person (40 hours) during the standard workweek and pay an hourly rate of $20. The internship class begins on Thursday, June 4, and runs through Friday, November 20, 2026. Core hours during the internship are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern time. This internship requires five in-office days (Monday – Friday) at our office in Alexandria, Virginia.  

What It Means to Be an Email Marketing Intern  

As an Email Marketing Intern, you will support the planning, execution, and optimization of email campaigns that engage audiences and drive results. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate who is excited to launch a career in digital marketing and build hands-on experience with email strategy, content development, campaign production, marketing automation, and performance reporting. You will work closely with creative, digital, and account teams to help bring campaigns to life, learn industry best practices, and contribute fresh ideas in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.  

This is a great opportunity for an organized, curious, and detail-oriented marketer who wants to grow their skills in digital marketing and see the direct impact of their work. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Develop and update email templates daily using drag-and-drop builders in platforms such as Mailchimp, Active Campaign, or similar tools. 
  • Apply email design and content best practices to help ensure messages are clear, engaging, and visually polished. 
  • Monitor campaign performance after launches by tracking key metrics such as opens, clicks, and unsubscribes, and help prepare basic performance reports. 
  • Collaborate regularly with strategists, project managers, and writers to support campaign execution. 
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and feedback sessions to share updates, ask questions, and build knowledge of email marketing tools, processes, and best practices. 

A Reingold intern must: 

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or communications. 
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing. 
  • Build and follow timelines and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Possess a collaborative, team-player attitude. 
  • Be eager to learn by doing and take initiative. 
  • Be able to receive and incorporate peer feedback. 


Work environment and physical requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
